Paul is a digital media executive with over 18 years of industry experience, including being a successful entrepreneur, having built and sold profitable technology companies, and recently a producer of multiplatform content.

From 2006 to 2008, Paul served as president and COO of QD3 Entertainment, a multi-platform media and entertainment company he cofounded with Quincy D. Jones III. As one of the largest independent producers of urban oriented content, Paul was executive in charge of production for BEEF: The Series, one of BET Networks most watched series, as well as involved in securing distribution and initiating production on a number of documentaries, short-form web programming and branded entertainment.

Prior to joining QD3, Paul spent four years as Director of Business Development at the Microsoft Corporation, where he was responsible for the software giant's digital media strategy and partnerships with major media studios, broadcasters and the creative community. The highlight was establishing a multi-year strategic relationship with the Academy Award winning director, James Cameron. Paul worked directly with Mr. Cameron on developing advanced technology for Avatar. Paul also provided technology and monetary support for the American Film Institute during his tenure as Microsoft’s senior executive in Hollywood.

Paul is a member of the Dean’s Council at the University of California at Santa Barbara Bren School of Environmental Studies & Management. He is also a member of the Board of Trustee of the African Wildlife Foundation and a volunteer with the United Nations-recognized International Committee of Artists for Peace (ICAP). Paul graduated from the University of Toronto in 1990 with a BA in Industrial Relations and a minor in Economics.
